Cube Styles can be used to highlight specific conditions which will make spotting them much easier? There are a lot of numbers in a cube, and the more detail a dimension has, the more numbers you will see. Sorting through them to find problems can be time consuming. Cube Styles give you the ability to make these problems stand out saving you a lot of valuable time allowing you to respond more quickly.
To set up a rule, go to the customization window for the cube. Select the Styles tab to define how the cell will look when the rule condition is true. As you can see in the screeshot below, the RedAlert style will display values in red text.

Next, go to the Style Rules tab to define the condition. Conditions can be specific cell types, comparative values, rank, or even create your own formula. Give the rule a name, select a measure that will be altered based on the condition, select the display style to be used, select the rule type, and then define the condition. The settings in the screenshot will apply any time the margin percent measure is less than zero and the cell will display with red text.

A business builder envisions what they want their business to become. The vision becomes a plan based on analysis of competitive strengths and weakness, the marketplace and strategies of ways and means to materialize the vision.
Opportunity chasing is an easy trap, especially in challenging times. Analysis of how your time and money converts to Return On Investment (ROI) is replaced by hope. Current numbers are ignored with the promise of future returns.
Remaining true to the business building vision requires strength and focus. Clear insight into actual results allows you to fine tune operations and maintain focus on the vision. ClickBase is proud to serve the business builders of the world.
